I stayed at Boombully Tbilisi for a week in June and July 2012. I can say it is by far the best hostel I ever stayed in. The rooms and beds are made daily. All the sleeping rooms feature a fan or air conditioning unit, which is very well appreciated during the hot summer months. Boombully has a kitchen to be used at your disposal, free wireless internet, hot showers and a very friendly and helpful staff. There is always a staff member on duty 24/7. They have excellent travel contacts for other places in Georgia and can recommend clubs, bars, and other attractions in Tbilisi. The place is very clean. The location cannot be beat. It is halfway between the Rustaveli and Liberty Square metro stations. There is also a bus stop like 100 meters from the hostel. I would recommend Boombully for anyone going to Tbilisi in a heartbeat!
I was in that hostel 24.06.2011-28.06.2011 BOOMBULLY is the one of the best place for stay for travellers; as location and architectural view, anyway hostel was so clean and comfortable,kitchen,fridge..what u need u will have, and free computer:))one staff from hostel she will understand what ı mean:))ı need to say 3 cool guys as a boss there that we had so nice conversation and 2 sweet girl working there ı met they gave me best advices for good places, clubs:)),want say thanks all!!! they were so friendly, helpful about everythink..ı hope soon will visit them again ,if u go Tiflis just go rustavelli 24 and stay there..
NOTICE:(ı didnt take money from them for write that all good thinks ) )
Boombully was great. I spent 4 nights on arrival in Georgia, and 3 nights before leaving, and the staff were very helpful and gracious. They helped organise excursions, that all went well. The beds and bunks were all comfortable (unlike most other places I stayed!) and you couldnt get a more central location.
Missing Tblisi a lot
I stayed at Boombully for six nights at the end of April and I have to say it was absolutely brilliant. The awesome team there is just wonderful: you immediately feel like you’re a welcome guest at a friend’s home rather than an anonymous tourist crashing on some random bed Fabulous location, clean and spacious rooms, plus the building and the hostel space itself has lots of charm and character… Ten out of ten, thanks heaps guys!
I was in Boombully last week for two nights. Reservation was made by email beforehand without any problem. Very responsive staff answered on all questions I had, especially about a parking spot (this point was critical, because I arrived by the car), prices, etc.
Hostel located in the very heart of Tbilisi. Rooms are clean and nice. Staff was friendly and spoke both English and Russian.
Overall, I rate my staying in Boombully with the maximum points and I will stay there on my next possible visit to Tbilisi.
An awesome hostel run by a great group of guys. The large common room is very welcoming and gets everyone chatting. High-ceiling-ed bedrooms are nice as well. Comfy beds, a fridge and a full kitchen. The balcony sits nicely across from the Tbilisi Opera House. On top of all this the price is right!
I had a great time in Tbilisi, largely due to the fact that I felt at home at BoomBully.
I stayed at Boombully hostel in Tbilisi for a few nights, and I quite enjoyed it. Very cool people running this hostel; David, Rasa, Gura and Nanuka are the ones I met. just ask them your questions, they’ll do their bests to guide you.
Very clean, no smell of smoke inside the hostel, hot shower, and a proper kitchen, which if you like, you can cook and dine together.
I’ve just come back from Georgia and i can honestly reccommend Boombully Hostel. The place itself is very cosy and clean, whereas the staff always tries to help and answer your questions. The location is also perfect – in the heart ob Tbilisi, next to the main attractions. Anyway, if you go to Tbilisi – choose Boombully
No doubt there are other places to stay on budget in Tbilisi, but Boombully brings what others may not have – perfect location and extremelly friendly, attentive staff.
Boombully is full of energy, and despite its relatively small, family-feel size, it remains open 24/7. There is always someone on staff, ready to help. Unlike the tourist “information” centre in Tbilisi, Boombully staff actually has all the information about Georgia and is happy to advise their guests. They all spoke good (or perfect) English and Russian.
Would we come back? Absolutely.
Boombully, located in the centre of Tbilisi is so far the best hostel in wich we had lived. The rooms are spacious and always clean, the staff is friendly, very hospitable and always ready to help in any matter. In fact, if you planing a trip to Georgia, only thing that you should do is to book a room in boombully and everything else you can arrange with boombully’s staff assistance: travel destinations, transport, and where to stay during the trip, they will be happy to help. One more thing: the price is very attractive. In short, if you are looking nice, cozy place to stay in Tbilisi, Boombully hostel is the best solution for you.
Boombully is the best place to stay in Tbilisi. Very clean, friendly staff (which will always guide you what to see in georgia and how to do it, it is very easy, I did not expect it). Hostel is in the centre of the city so it is very easy to travel and to visit famous places. I recommend it to everyone.
Located in the center of Tbilisi, in Rustaveli Street, Boombully Hostel with its spacious, clean and stylish rooms offers all the travellers want from their stay in Tbilisi. I especially liked the common room and the balcony with the perfect view on the soon renovated Opera House. Often the staff will sit with the travelers on the balcony drinking, chatting and smoking shisha. The super nice staff is very helpful. Moderate prices! strong recommendation!
I had a great time at Boombully Tbilisi! Its clean, spacious and quiet and not packed with people as many other hostels are. Its located in an apartment on the main street of Tbilisi and you are just 5 minutes from the old town and freedom square. The common room is a big living room and you feel almost like home, thanks to the comfortable chairs and the friendly and helpful staff, who was happy to explain everything from svan culture to georgian macroeconomy to the nightlife in Caucausias best city. Didi madloba!
Boombully is probably the best located hostel in Tbilisi, just opposite the opera and 2 minutes away from the parliament building by feet. Staff is very relaxed and helpful, and you will soon find yourself socializing with the staff in the living room or standing on balcony and looking down on the Rastaveli street. The premises is an old (and very big) stylish apartment with tonnes of charm. I give Boombully the best of recommendations.
I stayed at the hostel for four nights. I’d give it 5 stars. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily including the bathrooms. The showers always had hot water which is nice. The dorm rooms are not crowded even when all beds were filled as there are lots of space. The location is good as it is easy to find and in a location with stores and restaurants nearby. Other guests are also friendly. I would recommend staying here.
Great place to stay, the beds were the best I’ve slept in for ages. Also the huge common room with free wi-fi is a good place to hang around and meet other travelers, staff will make sure you have a good time.
Boombully means feather.
We spent 5 nights there.
It was the best bed we had on our journey (and we were travelling for 6 weeks)
We felt like being at home there, especially when we watched eurovision songcontest together.
We are missing: Rasa, David and David, Amiran and Guro.
Next time we will come to Tbilisi we will visit you again!
We are missing: ordering the best pizza in town, taking a georgian bath, going to see pink panter, hanging out with you, smoking on the balcony, eating chinkali!
We are missing: Georgia!
Boombully was a great experience! Not only is the hostel brand new, conveniently located close to Old Town between two metro stops, with spacious rooms, clean bathrooms and an nice kitchen, but the staff and their friends are absolutely fantastic and dedicated to offer their clients a great time in Georgia. They will help you with anything you need, and can even help you organize your trips around the country, find cheap places to stay in other cities, get an affordable driver to go for example to David Garedji or just have a fun night out. If you are hesitating between Boobully or any other hostel in Tbilisi, Boombully is what you want.
I did not expect such a welcome I must admit. We arrived in the middle of the night, still we were expected there and welcomed with bread, cheese, wine, not to mention that guys also found our national flag to put in the bus!!! The tours, national food, stories about history and legends, games, parties, wine, the amazing view from balcony, smiles and people who you see as your friends from the moment you arrive!
Greetings to David, David, Rasa and Guro.
There is so much more to say, but sometimes words are just too simple to describe such positive emotions. Thank you for your hospitality and warmth!
I really didn’t have any idea what to expect when it came to Tblisi. Sure, I’d heard the same lines spouted about typical Georgian hospitality, but I wasn’t prepared for the warmth and vivaciousness that received me at 4am…and conversation and warm khachapuri that kept me awake until 6. After spending no time at all finding the hostel, my traveling partner and I were led to an insanely comfortable double room, and allowed to pass out beyond the scheduled check-out time (the staff knew how much we needed the sleep).
We stayed another three nights. The beds in the 10-person room were undoubtedly the best I’ve encountered, the bathrooms were clean with boundless hot water, and the atmosphere was one of general frivolity and affability. I learned how to play backgammon, was taken (though technically forgotten) to a fantastic hole-in-the-wall bar, greeted with clinking glasses throughout the day, and felt taken care of in a way that a hostel has never taken care of me before.
I enjoyed the fact the impromptu, late-night gatherings that happened. I loved the go-go-go attitudes of everyone that worked there. I sincerely hope that you don’t change a thing, except for keeping your fridge well-stocked with beer.
Many thanks to Rasa, for being a seriously level-headed, cool-ass lady. David, Guuuuu, “Joe”, PaedoBear, and everyone else involved in making this holiday a most-memorable one: Thanks a bunch. Expect to see me again soon.
All that you could ask for in a hostel and more. Clean rooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great location. Especially if you have ever lived in a village in Georgia, you will want to stay in this hostel when you come to the city.
I really like to stay here, you re doing your job very well, atmosphere is so cool. staff is friendly. I hope you open a hostel in Iran soon. but it will be really hard for you:) no alcohol no parties:)
WOW , An excellent Hostel, I am first guest of Boombully, one night before they opened it officially. An impressive place for staying with cool guys who always help you if you have any problem.
I stayed 7 days in their hostel and I never forget it, I’ve made some new friends who are keeping in touch with me.
I absolutely recommend you if you want to stay in Tbilisi , Boombully could be one of your choice for staying.
You feel relax and peace in Boombully.
Best wishes from Iran for lovely guys in Boombully
this is an excellent hostel – great for meeting up with people/hanging out and getting great help/information from the cool and knowledgeable staff. the beds are comfortable and the hostel is spacious – i highly recommend it
I intended to only stay a night here but even after 3 days it hard to leave. I really liked staying here the staff always makes you feel welcomed and is awesomely friendly and helpful. All rooms are super cozy, stylish and clean . Really good place to meet other travelers and hang out. Though its very chilled out and never seemed noisy, its located on one of the main streets and in walking distance of most major attractions. can highly recommend this place, feels like a true home away from home.
The spaciousness of the rooms and common area is wonderful and all the natural light is uplifting and healthy for the soul. The staff are great fun and will sing and dance upon command. Inquire about their Georgian dance skills and they will enlighten you with their knowledge of all Georgian dance and music. The beds are exceptionally comfy as well–excellent for positive dreaming. Try the Boombully-you won’t regret it:)
I was delighted to receive an invitation to the hostel, and to meet the staff and some of the reviewers, especially the vivacious Nikita. You asked for a review, rather than just a comment:
Firstly the welcome is extremely friendly and considerate. The lack of demarcation between official staff and helpers and friends is nice at this stage in the life of the hostel, and contributed to a feeling of general fellowship and mutual concern.
The bunk beds are indeed comfortable and the place is neither too hot nor too cold. There is no sense of being cramped or in any way ill at ease during your entire stay, there is enough air to breathe, there is not too much night-time traffic noise or noise from people in the street.
I would suggest in the coming months that the hostel adopts a noise calming policy after – say – midnight thirty: this was a trial run and partying night and does not count, but in my view those in the common room should reduce their volume by around 60% after a designated hour; and by even more than that later on, should they wish to stay up very late. Headphones could provided, lights could be dimmed, and relevant notices posted.
The bathroom facilities and the kitchen are exceptionally good. They were sufficiently clean and tidy, as well as accessible. A rare thing to find in hostels and even in many hotels.
The location, just a few yards up the street from Entree would allow those who love French pastries and fine bread to import a delicious breakfast, although I did see that Davit had foreseen feeding people as there were loaves of bread around – another friendly touch, worth its weight in gold.
Tea was provided; there is a good kettle, and milk or other fooodstuffs may be bought (up to 23:00) a few yards down Rustaveli Avenue. Indeed I was accompanied there by one of the staff, and so able to have my British cup of tea a l’anglaise.
Coffee will presumably be provided when the place opens more formally; and I would suggest acquiring a toaster. It is also not a bad idea to bring some fruit with you or possibly spring water if you like it, since drinking and partying can lead to dehydration which may slightly detract from a good night’s rest.
The balcony allows smokers to smoke in the warm evenings and is a five-star hotel pleasure in the morning as Rustaveli Avenue comes to life, the buses go along with their trademark schreeching brakes, and the flower vendors set up their stalls. I sat there in the early spring sunshine and reflected that in spite of its challenging-sounding name, Boombully can be a refreshing and even peaceful place to stop – for the traveller or the extra-Tbilisi maverick voyager. I would even recommend it to Tbilisi-based teachers who may wish to get away from their habitual scenarios and have fun, and find refreshing, relaxing and invigorating renewal when they feel the need.
The common room is palatial, informal, cool and stylish. The published price of 20 laris would represent excellent value. The private room at 50 Laris would also beat many hotels on quality, comfort, setting and feel – as well as being in heart of a friendly environment.
If you are in Tbilisi and looking for a place to stay I would highly recommend Boombully. The beds were comfy and the pillows are by far the best in the city. The shower was hot with great water pressure! The hosts are fun and friendly and the location is super convenient for bars and clubs of all types. Check it out!
The beds were very comfortable and the linen was so soft! Best sleep I’ve had in a while. Rustaveli Ave was a little noisy in the morning, but it is only because Boombully has such a great location in the heart of Tbilisi.
The guys who run it were very good hosts. Laid back and friendly, very welcoming.
I know where I’ll be staying from now on when I come to Tbilisi- Boombully Hostel.
The location is centralized on Rustaveli, and gives you the classic feel of Tbilisi. The Hostel itself is in one of the old renovated buildings across from the beautiful Opera House. It is a incredibly friendly place that has few issues; which management is readily willing to amend. The beds are super comfy! They have a good knowledge of Tbilisi and go the extra mile to help you out and provide for you. I would definetely recommend checking it out.
great place, the staff are really cool and its very relaxed here.
It has great style and great view, and is close to Mcdonalds and the bars and shops.
Very friendly here and lots of fun, I highly recommend:)
If you’re looking for a fun environment where you can meet new people I would recommend staying at Boombully hostel. The owners are really nice and accommodating and you can’t beat the location!
Boombully is the one and only place to stay in Tbilisi! The staff is very welcoming and the hot showers can’t be beat. The location is prime for all kinds of nightlife. The price is right so come to BOOMBULLY!
